The direct and indirect cost to Medicare and other related business had already amounted to one hundred forty eight billion dollars for each year.

As of this June 2008, Alzheimer's disease had now surpassed diabetes as it is now the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S.

What increases your risk to develop Alzheimer's disease is aging, as most patients who have develop Alzheimer's disease were already in their 60's and older. Other factors like heart ailment and genetics also plays key roles in developing Alzheimer's disease.
